“Rooted in Tradition”

Porter, Oklahoma · Honor-system stand
Fresh eggs from our hens, a box for payment, and a lot of trust. Open Monday through Saturday at the front of our farm.

Porter & Prairie Family Farm
15527 S 385th E Ave, Porter, OK 74454
Monday–Saturday: 6:30 AM–9 PM
Sunday: Closed. Sunday is for church, family and a slower table, and the hens keep laying anyway.
We’re in Wagoner County, about 15 minutes from Broken Arrow, 25–30 minutes from Tulsa, close to Coweta, and an easy detour on the way to Muskogee. The stand sits right at the front of the property, so there’s no need to come up the drive.

How the stand worksThat’s it. No one stands at the register, because there isn’t a register. The honor system is the oldest technology in Wagoner County, and it still works because our neighbors make it work. Thank you.
Eggs, almost every day. Our roughly fifty laying hens live in a coop under the south awning of our shop and spend their days scratching and foraging. Our kids gather and pack the eggs. The FOX23 cameras caught Anna and Jude at it in 2026, and they’ll tell you they’re the real management.
And soon, more. Eggs are the only thing at the stand right now. Starting in spring 2027, Haylee’s garden will add vegetables, fresh-cut flowers and garlic, and fruit will follow once the orchard bears. The weekly Prairie Post is the best way to know what’s out.
Because chickens don’t take off on Christmas or Easter, and neither does good faith between neighbors. We believe a farm should feed the people around it. Leaving the stand open on trust is our small way of saying we believe that about Porter, too. It also teaches our kids something no worksheet can: that work you can hold in your hands has value, and so does keeping your word.

Almost always. Fifty hens lay a lot, but sometimes not as fast as our neighbors buy. Check the Prairie Post or give us a call.

The stand is open to the public, but the farm is our home. If you'd like to see more, reach out and we'll talk.
The best thank-you is telling a neighbor. Stop by the stand, read the Prairie Post, or drop us a line.
